Thanks for joining me!
My name is Jessica. I’m 25 years old and have struggled with healthy eating my whole life. My biggest problem is that I LOVE sweets and HATE many vegetables. I tried to be healthy as best as I could by choosing things I thought had nutritional value or foods packaged up in words like “fat-free”, “no added sugar”, “low in sodium” and the likes. But I really didn’t know anything when it came to food other than the basics – sugar is bad, protein is important, veggies are a must.
I was content to continue on with my poor choices until my dad gave me this book to read called Discover the Power of Food by Janet Jacks. My dad raved about this book and how good he feels now that he knows the healing powers of food. I thought “Meh, I guess I’ll give it a go”. After only reading a chapter, I was completely fascinated by the amount of food I was eating that I “thought” was bad for me, which turns out is good for me, and vice versa! I won’t ramble on about it (just yet!) but I will say that we as a society are severely mislead and under-educated about the healing benefits that food has.
I hope that this blog will inspire you and give you the knowledge you need to start making healthier choices – and NO this will NOT be a diet!
Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other one thing.
