If you haven’t already read about the “Dirty Dozen” from my last post, I encourage you to do so before continuing.
The “Clean Fifteen” is the annual list of the fruits and vegetables found to have the lowest levels of pesticides on them. These are the items we should be adding more of to our grocery lists! Being mindful of the amount of pesticides you ingest is an important part of your overall health. Stay clean friends!
The Clean Fifteen list for 2019 lives here.
The 2019 Clean Fifteen:
- Avocados (Thank GOODNESS)
- Sweet Corn
- Pineapples
- Sweet Peas – Frozen
- Onions
- Papayas
- Eggplants
- Asparagus
- Kiwis
- Cabbages
- Cauliflower
- Cantaloupes
- Broccoli
- Mushrooms
- Honeydew Melons
Interesting! I’ve heard the alternative about cauliflower- it gets terribly eaten by pests so they tend to coat it with pesticides. Hm! I think about that when I look at them so this may make me a bit more at ease.
